Westfall High School hosted another successful Westfall Way Forward, an annual event that presents students with different career options after high school.
Based on the career survey results, Sophomores and Juniors participated in four informational sessions led by industry leaders who suited their interests. From the Medical Professions to the Military, Culinary to Crop Scientists, the speakers discussed their positions, responsibilities, and path to their current roles.
In addition, our seniors participated in a series of informational sessions on how to budget, buy/rent a home, and land the perfect position. They also attended an informal roundtable with Westfall alums, where they discussed the enlightening truths of life after high school. The seniors also participated in several mock interviews, where they met with community leaders, brushed up on their interview skills, built confidence, and learned tips to enhance their resumes.
Westfall Way Forward is an excellent opportunity for our students to gain knowledge and helpful insight on transitioning into the workplace. We appreciate our guests, organizers, helpers, and students for making this event successful and are proud to welcome many alums back to share their experiences with us!
